Your Winter-blues Getaway!!

February 23rd, 2009 by chuck

Your Winter-blues Getaway.

For the next two weeks (now through March 12th) we will be offering a very special rate to stay at the Historic Water Street Inn.

Stay in one of our St. Croix Suites named one of the “best views with a room in the St. Croix Valley” for only $129!  These accommodations are two room suites with double whirlpools & fireplaces, most have private decks overlooking the beautiful St. Croix River.  This is a savings of $100 off the regular rate for this room.

Or, stay in any of our other rooms for just $99.  All these rooms feature double whirlpools and most have fireplaces.  Some of these rooms will still have view of the River or sweeping views of Historic Stillwater.

To complete your mini vacation we are offering our guests for the next two weeks (now through March 12th) a special three-course dinner option in our restaurant “The Grille”

Dinner for two for only $65 per couple.  This special will also include breakfast for two in the morning (ordering anything off the menu or our full Champagne Brunch on Sundays).
Top off your stay with a late check-out time.

Wine list at the Water Street Inn

February 11th, 2009 by chuck

The Grille at the Historic Water Street Inn in downtown Stillwater announces its new wine list.

Chuck & Judy Dougherty, owners of the Inn, have always believed that great food deserves great wine to go with it.  One of their disappointments when dining at other restaurants is that they have overpriced their wines.  “The Grille & Charlie’s Irish Pub at the Historic Water Street Inn will never charge more than $15 over our purchase price for any bottle of wine on our list,” states Chuck.

Other restaurants are doing half price wine night; we believe you should get a great bargain every night of the week.  If we did half price wine, we would be selling it below our cost.
