Restaurant and Beverage Manager, A.J. Crotty, presents Teresa Crespo with over $300 in certificates for purchasing the 4,000th Jameson Drink sold at Charlie's Irish Pub in 2009.

December 27th, 2009 – Charlie’s Restaurant and Irish Pub at the Historic Water Street Inn is proud to announce that their 4,000th Jameson Irish Whiskey drink of 2009 was sold on December 23rd, 2009. Restaurant and Beverage Manager, A.J. Crotty, credits the increase in sales to “…the success of the ‘10 Great Ways to Get to Know Jameson’ drink list, the introduction of the Charlie’s Jameson Club, the naming of the patio bar ‘The Jameson Bar’ in June and our outstanding clients and staff who have been loyal to Charlie’s and Jameson throughout the last year.” Teresa Crespo was among a group of couples who helped count down to the 4,000th drink just before Christmas this year after a beautiful dinner in Charlie’s Restaurant. Crespo’s favorite Jameson drink, the Emerald Butterfly, a delicous combination of Jameson, Kahlua and Baileys served on the rocks, was the official 4,000th drink sold at Charlie’s Pub. Crespo won a one night stay to a Two Room St. Croix Suite at the Water Street Inn, which features a double whirlpool, four-poster canopy bed, fireplace and river view, valued at $249. Crespo was also inducted as an honorary member of Charlie’s Jameson Club, which entitles her to free Jameson througout 2010. Crotty has been tracking and counting the drinks since about mid-November, “I knew we were selling a lot of Jameson, but once I realized we were close to 4,000 it was decided we’d have to celebrate the occasion if we ever made it.” Were there predictions for Jameson and Charlie’s Irish Pub in 2010? Crotty was noted as saying he’d like to see 10,000 Jameson drinks for 2010. Slainte!
